WHO WE ARE
Nestled in a charming backyard in the middle of Oslo with a warm and rustic ambiance, Nordic Foodprint (NOFO) is on a mission to share healthy comfort food with our urban community.
NOFO is founded by passionate food lovers and environmentalists with the goal to inspire plant-based eating with a near-zero carbon footprint. With a focus on mindful sourcing of ingredients, we serve dishes that are both good for you and good for the planet. We practice quality over quantity in everything we do to make sure we can offer customers a healthy alternative without sacrificing taste. We source all organic, plant-based ingredients from small local farms to support sustainable farming.
WHAT WE DO
We offer a selection of plant-based comfort food and drinks to our urban friends and family. All of our recipes are based on what ingredients are in season — this way, you know everything is being served at its peak. By only using high quality ingredients seasonally harvested by local farmers, we’re able to give our customers the best that nature has to offer.
We are striving for zero food waste and use biodegradable packaging alternatives instead of plastic. All takeaway products are recyclable.
WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
NOFO is based on a dream that people will choose food that is better for you and the environment. How we eat is the most important environmental question facing todays society — living a plant-based lifestyle will significantly lower your carbon footprint by up to 73%.
Along with this, global farmland could be reduced by 75%, an area equivalent to the size of the United States, China, Australia and the EU combined.
We want you to join the movement and hope you find inspiration in plant-based food because it makes you feel good. By empowering our customers to learn about the effect plant-based eating can have, we hope to push the entire food system to be more sustainable and accountable.
To track our carbon footprint, we will share reports of the total cost of our food production so you can make empowered decisions.
